Terremoto del Friuli del 6 Maggio 1976 - Friuli earthquake on May 6, 1976

Il terremoto del 6 maggio 1976 è stato preceduto da un foreshock di primo ordine di Mb 5.2. La fase di rilascio di energia è classificata come “Progressive earthquakes”. La fase di accumulo di energia che segue il  mainshock  di Ms 6.5, è composta da  aftershocks di tipo “Flah earthquakes” con schemi di attivazione di tipo Falling wedge Pattern o Rectangle Pattern ( Horizontal e ascending ). The earthquake on May 6, 1976 was preceded by a foreshock of the first order of Mb 5.2. The energy release phase is classified as "Progressive earthquakes". The energy accumulation phase that follows the mainshock of Ms 6.5, is composed of  "flah earthquakes" aftershocks, with type of activation: Falling Wedge Pattern or Rectangle Pattern (Horizontal and ascending). Terremoto del Giappone del 15 Aprile 2016

In data 15 Aprile 2016 si è verificato un forte terremoto in Giappone di M 7.0 con epicentro in vicinanza di Kumamoto ( USGS ).  Il sisma di magnitudo 7.0 Mw  avvenuto  il 15 aprile 2016 (UTC 16:25:06)  a nord di Kumamoto, sull'isola di Kyushu nel sud-ovest del Giappone ad una profondità di 10 km  è stato preceduto  da  una serie di scosse di cui due di magnitudo 6.2 e 6.0 Mw con epicentro nella stessa regione. I due terremoti non sono classificabili come foreshocks, ma sono scosse di accumulo di energia associate al sisma del 13 novembre del 2015 di magnitudo 6.7 Mw. Il  terremoto del 15 aprile 2016 è  classificabile come “Progressive earthquakes”, mentre il pattern di attivazione è di tipo “Ascending rectangle”. La struttura ramificata da cui si è generato il terremoto è composta da cinque stadi di accumulo di energia, mentre il punto d’innesco della fase di rilascio di energia si è formato il 27 dicembre del 2012. ...

Sulla base dello studio di Riga & Balocchi (2016), è possibile classificare l'evento di Mw 6.1 del 06 Aprile 2009 come Progressive earthquakes dove il pattern di innesco è definito come Expansion triangle.  Based on the study of Riga & Balocchi (2016), it is possible to classify the Mw 6.1 earthquake of 06 April 2009 as the Progressive earthquake where the trigger pattern is defined as Expansion triangle. Classificazione degli eventi sismici emiliani 2012 e del loro pattern di innesco - Classification of the Emilia 2012 earthquakes and their triggering pattern

Sulla base dello studio di Riga & Balocchi (2016), è possibile classificare l'evento di Mw 5.8 del 20 maggio 2012 come  Progressive earthquakes dove il pattern di innesco è definito come  Expansion triangle (fig. 1).  Based on the study of Riga & Balocchi ( 2016) , it is possible to classify the Mw 5.8 earthquake of 20 May 2012 as the Progressive earthquakes where the trigger pattern is defined as Expansion triangle ( fig. 1 ) . Seismic Sequence Structure and Earthquakes Triggering Patterns

Within a time distribution of magnitude values, before any mainshock some earthquake triggering patterns with several features develop, under tectonic processes’ influence, through which it is possible to early identify the preparation phase of big earthquakes. The purpose of this article was to identify and classify the warning patterns that develop before a big earthquake by considering space-time seismicity variations. The methodological approach adopted was of graphical type, based on procedures of technical analysis currently used to estimate the financial markets. In the initial phase of the study we have analyzed the seismic sequences types described in the bibliography (type 1: foreshocks-mainshock-aftershocks, type 2: mainshock-aftershock; type 3: swarm) and the main structure of the seismic cycle, within which maximum and minimum magnitude values characterize the pattern that it develops until the main event changes.
